Sally Mills (known to her friends as Rocky) has been a painter, sculptor and jewelry designer for over 25 years. As past owner of “Rocky Mills Fine Art Gallery” in Indianapolis, she has been creating and selling art since the mid 1990s. She studied fine art under the late artist and architect James Curtain Lentz and at the John Herron School of Art.

Sally‘s jewelry designs have been sold throughout the country and have won prestigious awards since she began. Her love of the natural world - in particular ocean life - has always been a deep influence in her work and her curiosity about natural systems continues to inspire her. She has had an attraction for rocks since a toddler and has always followed doors that have opened for her.

“My unique experience of seeing whales in their natural habitat was the biggest - and deepest - spiritual connection I've ever had (excluding the love of my life). It inspired me and pushed me near the edge, guiding me to use my natural gifts and the skills I had developed over the years.
